Our purposes
Authentic Community
Worship is our lifestyle - what we present to God daily: praying, fasting, giving, singing, kneeling, bowing, meditating, journaling, sacrificing, and doing all those things that ascribe worth to God. Matthew 22:37 - "Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
Engaging Worship
Becoming involved in life groups and building caring, meaningful friendships; everybody matters and all people are welcome. Acts 2:42, 44 – “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” “All the believers were together and had everything in common.”
Enthusiastic Service
Offering Hope
Making a difference by using our gifts for the church and the world. Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
Praying for doors of opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus with everyone we see. Ephesians 1:17, 18 – “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,”
OUR HISTORY
SMALL BEGINNINGS
SMALL BEGINNINGS

- Began in 1940 by a handful of friends who wanted there to be a church in Akron, PA filled and led by the Holy Spirit to reach the community.
- After growing and worshiping in 2 other locations over the years, in 2005 we purchased 25 acres in a strategic location of Ephrata as we looked to the future and to further developing our vision.
- In 2018, we began to build a new worship facility on this prime property and completed it in the late summer of 2019. During this time period, we not only relocated, but also changed our name to Highpoint Community Church as we felt it better represented who we were and desired to be.
- Far more important than the style and size of a church building is what happens within that facility. The most significant representation of what we are all about is not our building, but our lives.
- It is our desire that Highpoint will effect positive change in Ephrata, Lancaster County, and the entire world. We are committed to bringing the life-changing reality of God’s presence, and we are seeing the fruit that it brings.
